My Story

Where it all Began…

My inspiration behind the creation of Kenya’s K-9 Creations is because of my two fur babies that I am blessed to have as part of my family. Naja, the first Doberman that I was blessed with is my Velcro Baby, and Ryu who was my Heart of Gold. They are one of my many reasons why I keep it together. They make me laugh, provide me comfort, keep me company and even make me shake my head. They are my devils and angels. These boys make everyday better seeing them happy and their wiggle but when I return home from work. The love they give to me and my family unconditionally, is why I started Kenya’s K-9 Creations. I want to be with them all day everyday.

Naja My Black and Rust Doberman     

In 2017 we picked up our first Doberman, we named him Naja. We fell in love with him at first sight. He is truly amazing and has been with me through a lot of tough times. He has had a few of his own. He had some major allergy issues, and had to change him to a raw food diet and found out also that he had allergies to medicines as well. He is very happy and healthy now. I loved our bonding time in our obedience training classes. I spend a lot of time taking him places and socializing him. Naja is a very Loved Doberman. So many people have fallen in love with him. Naja had lost his at the time companion our beloved Black Lab Eminem when we decided we loved the Dobermans so much we got our second Doberman. However, Naja has suffered the second loss of his companion, partner in crime Ryu. He now is going through separation anxiety and depression from the loss of Ryu.

Ryu My Red and Rust Doberman  

In 2018, after waiting till Naja was 1.5 years old we decided to get Naja a companion. Ryu was our Heart of Gold. His personality. Was like none other and everywhere we took him and Naja people fell in Love with them. Ryu was a rock so to say for me and my husband. Truth be told he was Naja’s rock, Naja is stand offish when out in public and Ryu was like his strength. You will laugh at this next quote but was also Naja’s thunder buddy. Naja would cuddle up with Ryu during thunder storms. Naja absolutely afraid of them. Ryu was our Mach 100 out of the gate. Was so full of Love for all, silly, no fear, and felt no pain. Ryu had had his first major issue in 2023. Here had torn his ACL 100% and Meniscus 40%. Which then had cemented that fact that I wanted to do something to be able to be home with my beloved boys. However, I have not yet had the chance to get home to both of them. Ryu gained his Angel Wings Oct. 2024 one week after his 5th birthday from DCM a silent killer for us he had no symptoms of DCM. This has left a very big hole in my heart.
